3.09.13 Mine Craft Class Room Design

Today I would like to tell you about our mission that we have achieved this term. At the start we draw a plan of our class room then we used some plastic blocks next so that it looked 3D. Then we did it with Lego but when we went on to mine craft and started building it was so different to the plan in our books. My class and I have been sighed up to design a class room for a new school that will be built in Christchurch. We are using mind craft it's a virtual world that you can build stuff in. We had to create a class room that we would want to Learn in. We all made a different class room and if there is no more room left then some of us have built an up stairs part. We've built some rooms up stairs or we could just make more room in our class rooms. I have a library, storage room, art room, dancing room and a teaching room too.So far I'm going to have a baking class, hui, play class and a music class in my design.

In my opinion I think  Mine craft is a good way to show your plans and design ideas of the building that you want to build. However the difficulty with Mine craft is that you can only build with squares and no other shapes. My next step is to add water, plants and animals to my plan.

 

Our sharing

This term we have been talking a lot about sharing. It starts with me then I tell my friends and family then I tell the school which then goes to the community then it's New Zealand then the Pacific. Our sharing is apart of our RISE focus this year. We have been sharing our money with good courses.

My school and I dressed up for the VSA dress for change day. Because we have shared, others can take action by volunteering their skills in other countries. We dressed up in our favourite costume or clothes and we brought a gold coin for project friendship to help our friends across the pacific.

 We all donated generously on red noes day as well. Because we have shared our  resource, our money, we are helping other children get the medical treatment they need to get better.

 On daffodil day, we raised $ 67 and we all dressed in yellow. I feel good that we have donated my pocket money and my friends are so happy that we have helped out.
